The Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation, Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu, has assured the Kano office of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) of his full support and cooperation in achieving their objectives.
The Managing Director gave this assurance when he received the management team of the commission, led by the head of the Kano office, Alhaji Hassan Abdulhamid Hassan, during an advocacy and sensitization visit. This was contained in a press release by the Director of Public Relations and Enlightenment, Muhammad Dahir Idris.
Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu expressed appreciation for the zeal and enthusiasm of the FCCPC in Kano toward its advocacy campaign and pledged that the KSHC would support them in this direction. He highlighted that the Kano State Housing Corporation faces numerous challenges, including the inability of its tenants to settle their outstanding fees, which has resulted in financial hardships for the corporation.
The Managing Director expressed hope that the bilateral collaboration between the two organizations would ease the financial tension within the Kano State Housing Corporation. He commended the FCCPC for their advocacy visit and prayed to Almighty Allah to guide them accordingly.
Earlier, speaking on behalf of the team, the head of the Kano office of the commission, Alhaji Hassan Abdulhamid Hassan, informed the Managing Director that the visit was part of their advocacy efforts to various organizations to sensitize staff about the commission’s numerous tasks. He expressed serious concern over the lack of awareness among consumers on how to best protect themselves and fight for their rights concerning many goods and services provided by individuals and corporate bodies.
