Kano State Censorship Board welcomed the newly appointed Commissioner of Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, on a familiarity visit.
Speaking during the meeting at the board's conference hall, Comrade Waiya unveiled his plans to improve staff welfare, inviting cooperative societies and other relevant stakeholders to contribute to staff development. He emphasized the importance of training, retraining, and capacity building for effective service delivery.
Comrade Waiya also reiterated his commitment to provide staff with the necessary equipment to keep pace with global advancements. He urged all staff members to embrace self-development, emphasizing that capacity building is a top priority of his administration.
The Commissioner has finally praised the Executive Secretary, Abba El-Mustapha, for his role in maintaining low litigation in the Kannywood industry. He appreciated El-Mustapha's efforts as a good ambassador of Kannywood.
