WAIYA COMMENDS KANO PRINTING PRESS MD FOR RAMADAN FOOD SUPPORT
Kano State Commissioner, Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has commended the Managing Director of Kano Printing Press, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad Idris, for his generosity in distributing food items to his staff ahead of Ramadan.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Commissioner Waiya praised the initiative, describing it as a noble gesture that aligns with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s vision of supporting the people of Kano, particularly the less privileged.
"This act of kindness is a clear demonstration of corporate social responsibility. It reflects the values of compassion and solidarity that our government upholds. I urge other agencies, private individuals and organizations to follow this example and extend similar support to those in need," Waiya stated.
He further highlighted the Kano State Government’s commitment to easing the financial burden on citizens, revealing that substantial funds have been allocated to provide food assistance to vulnerable groups during Ramadan.
The Commissioner calls on other organizations to emulate such acts of goodwill especially as the month of Ramadan approaches.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Kano Printing Press, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad Idris, emphasized his dedication to the welfare of his employees, noting that he has consistently provided such support every year.
"The rising cost of living has made it increasingly difficult for many families. This is my way of giving back to the hardworking staff who contribute to the success of this organization. It is a tradition I am committed to continuing," said Idris.
He also expressed his appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Commissioner Waiya for their unwavering support and encouragement.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Director, Administration and General Services, Kano State Printing Press, Kabiru Musa Umar, thanked the MD for his generosity and urged employees to reciprocate by remaining committed to their duties.
The Commissioner, Information and Internal Affairs, calls on other organizations to emulate such acts of goodwill, especially as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
