RECOVERY OF A SUSPECTED STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
The Kano State Police Command has successfully recovered a motor vehicle suspected to be stolen. The vehicle, a dark blue Volkswagen Golf 3, was abandoned by suspected criminals on 7th March 2025, at about 1:00 pm in Rijiyar Lemo Quarters, Kano.
2. The recovery of the vehicle was made possible through an information received from a Good Samaritan, who alerted the Police that a motor vehicle suspected to be stolen was abandoned by some criminals and ran away. In response to the timely report, a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene, where they located and recovered the abandoned vehicle.
3. The Kano State Police Command is committed to enhancing community safety and encourages residents to continue reporting any suspicious activities. The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, fipma, mnim, mnips, asis commended the good Samaritan for his quick action which played a vital role in this successful recovery.
4.The Police are currently conducting further investigations to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the vehicle's abandonment and to identify the suspects involved. Anyone whose vehicle is stolen or identify the vehicle as his own, should come forward to Bompai Police Headquarters, Office of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) with proof of ownership, or contact 07033093437.
