Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed date to commence airlift of the state’s pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for 2025 Hajj.
In a statement by the board’s spokesman, Sulaiman Dederi, the Director General of the board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, announced that the airlift would commence on 13th May.
He said the DG made the announcement on Saturday during a visit to Ungogo and Bichi Local Government Centers for the Hajj Induction Course, as part of the preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Danbappa stated that, according to the schedule released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Kano State would inaugurate the first flight to Saudi Arabia with Max Air on 13th May, 2025.
He further disclosed that the board has completed all necessary arrangements ahead of time to ensure that everything is properly in place for the successful commencement of the Hajj operations.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged intending pilgrims to attend the Hajj Induction Courses regularly for their own benefit.
He also advised them to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set by both the Nigerian and Saudi Arabian authorities during the pilgrimage.
