Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has once again extended his condolences to the Emir of Rano over the brutal killing of indigenes from Rano Local Government in Edo State.
A statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, revealed that Governor Yusuf and the Emir of Rano spent several hours consoling the affected families and community members, underscoring the gravity of the tragedy.
The governor expressed his sympathy while receiving the Emir at the Government House during a Sallah homage visit on Thursday.
His intervention has been instrumental in maintaining calm and discouraging acts of retaliation.
In his remarks, the Sarkin Rano thanked the governor for his support and called for more government efforts to strengthen security and ensure justice for the victims.
He urged Governor Yusuf to take decisive steps in preventing further violence and protecting the lives of Kano indigenes across the country.
